Size Guide

Find Your Perfect Fit at MUNESA

Every body is different, and so is every garment. Our size guide brings together the size charts for all the styles we carry -- tops, dresses, bottoms, skirts and sets -- alongside the body measurements they are cut for. If you take one minute to measure yourself before ordering, you will almost always get the fit right the first time.

How to Measure Yourself

Use a soft measuring tape and wear light clothing. Stand relaxed, keep the tape level all the way around, and ask someone to help if you can -- it is much easier than measuring yourself in a mirror.

Bust -- Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape straight across your back and not pulling tight.

Waist -- Measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button. Do not hold your breath or pull the tape in.

Hips -- Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, roughly 20 cm (8 in) below your waist.

Inseam -- Take a pair of trousers that fit you well, lay them flat, and measure from the crotch seam down to the hem.

International Size Conversion -- Regular Sizes

This chart shows the body measurements each size is designed to fit. MUNESA follows standard international sizing, so the same size works across all our styles.

Size US UK EU AU Bust (in) Waist (in) Hips (in)
XS 0-2 4-6 32-34 4-6 31.5-33 24-25.5 34-35.5
S 4-6 8-10 36-38 8-10 33.5-35 26-27.5 36-37.5
M 8-10 12-14 40-42 12-14 35.5-37 28-29.5 38-39.5
L 12-14 16-18 44-46 16-18 37.5-39.5 30-32 40-41.5
XL 16-18 20-22 48-50 20-22 40-42 32.5-34.5 42-44.5
XXL 20-22 24-26 52-54 24-26 42.5-45 35-37.5 45-47.5

All measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements. If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a comfortable fit, or the smaller size if you prefer a closer fit.

Tops, T-Shirts, Shirts, Blouses and Knitwear

For all tops, camis, t-shirts, shirts, blouses, bodysuits, vests and knitwear, use the chart below. The bust measurement is taken flat, edge to edge, and doubled.

Size Bust (cm) Length (cm) Shoulder (cm) Sleeve (cm)
S 96 58 38 17
M 100 60 39 18
L 104 62 40 19
XL 108 64 41 20
XXL 112 66 42 21

Fit note: Our t-shirts and sweatshirts are cut relaxed, so they run true to size with extra room. Structured shirts and blouses are cut closer to the body -- if you have a fuller bust, consider sizing up.

Dresses -- Midi, Mini, Maxi and Cocktail

Our dress range covers casual, formal, midi, mini, bodycon and sundresses. The chart below applies to our regular dress range.

Size Bust (cm) Waist (cm) Hips (cm) Length (cm)
S 88 68 94 108
M 92 72 98 110
L 96 76 102 112
XL 100 80 106 114
XXL 104 84 110 116

Fit note: Midi and mini dresses are cut close through the waist, so it is the waist measurement that matters most. A-line and fit-and-flare styles have more room through the hips. Bodycon styles are designed to be close fitting, so size up if you prefer a softer line.

Bottoms -- Pants, Trousers, Joggers, Leggings, Jeans and Shorts

Our bottom range includes wide leg pants, tailored trousers, joggers, sweatpants, leggings, capri pants, jeans and shorts. The waist measurement below is the garment waistband, while hips is the widest point measured flat.

Size Waist (cm) Hips (cm) Inseam (cm) Length (cm)
S 66 94 71 99
M 70 98 72 100
L 74 102 73 101
XL 78 106 74 102
XXL 82 110 75 103

Fit note: Wide leg pants and palazzo styles run generous through the leg but true through the waist. Joggers and sweatpants have an elasticated drawstring waist and stretch well. Leggings are cut with a four-way stretch -- if you are between sizes, take your usual size.

Skirts -- Midi, Mini, Maxi and A-Line

Our skirt range includes midi, mini, maxi, A-line, pleated and printed styles.

Size Waist (cm) Hips (cm) Length (cm)
S 66 92 70
M 70 96 72
L 74 100 74
XL 78 104 76
XXL 82 108 78

Fit note: High waisted styles sit at your natural waist -- use your waist measurement rather than your hip measurement when choosing. Elasticated waists have extra stretch built in.

Sets, Jumpsuits and Rompers

Two piece sets and jumpsuits are cut as a coordinated set, so the top and bottom are matched to a single size.

Size Bust (cm) Waist (cm) Hips (cm) Length (cm)
S 90 68 94 145
M 94 72 98 147
L 98 76 102 149
XL 102 80 106 151
XXL 106 84 110 153

Fit note: Jumpsuits are cut long in the body -- if you have a longer torso, size up. Co-ord sets are cut so the top and bottoms can be worn separately, so choose your size based on your bust and waist.

Plus Size Chart -- 0XL to 5XL

Some of our styles are produced in extended sizes, shown on the product page as 0XL, 1XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL. These are standard plus size labels based on international dress sizes -- the table below converts them to the equivalent US, UK and EU sizes.

Size on site US UK EU Bust (in) Waist (in) Hips (in)
0XL 14-16 18-20 46-48 41-43.5 34.5-37 43.5-45.5
1XL 18-20 22-24 50-52 43.5-46 37.5-40 46-48.5

How to Choose Your Size in Three Steps

Step 1 -- Measure yourself first. Write down your bust, waist and hips in inches or centimetres. Do not measure over thick clothing and do not guess from an old size you once wore; sizing varies between brands.

Step 2 -- Match your largest measurement. Compare each measurement to the chart and choose the size that matches the largest of the three. Garments can be taken in, but they cannot be let out.

Step 3 -- Read the fit note for that style. Every size chart above includes a fit note because the same size can feel different across styles. Relaxed cuts can be worn true to size, while close-fitting cuts may suit a size up.

Between Two Sizes?

If your measurements fall between two sizes, the choice comes down to how you like to wear your clothes. Size up for a relaxed, easy fit with room to layer, or for anything you plan to wear over a heavy knit. Size down if you prefer a close, tailored fit and the fabric has some stretch. When in doubt, most of our customers are happiest one size up.

Fabric, Stretch and Shrinkage

Knitted fabrics, jersey and blends containing elastane stretch comfortably and will generally feel more forgiving than woven fabrics. Cotton poplin, linen and woven blends hold their shape and feel firmer on first wear, softening with each wash. All our garments are pre-shrunk, but a small amount of shrinkage is normal if a garment is washed hot -- always follow the care label on the product page.
